An illustrated children's book of the story “The Moon'', by The Brothers Grimm. The story follows four brothers who steal the moon and then later are buried with its parts consequently waking up the dead.

The book was illustrated mostly in blue and black gouache with a second layer in orange pencil for the dead. I tried to emphasize the dramatic and compelling side to the story by minimizing the amount of colors and making the moon the only light source.

This book was part of dPICTUS's 4th Unpublished Picturebook Showcase as part of Bologna’s Children’s Book Fair. It was listed in Betsy Bird's (School Library Journal) Books From Bologna: Titles I’d Love to See in America list and was awarded The Mannheim Award for children's book illustration in 2022.
